Tummi Lace Bandeau Dress: $69.00

This is the look. This is the easily attainable, hot, fresh look that will captivate and reign over late summer and fall. This feminine, yet carefree and rugged look has swept over the women of America. With the cool, blue shades in the shoes and dress - the carefree curls are just added character. No need to pin the locks back when the rest of you outclasses anyone walking down the street who dares glance at your outfit. For $70? It's a done deal.

I have fallen head-over-heels in love with this dress. Doesn't it look like a complete designer, red-carpet item? I actually stumbled across it while trying to find a dress for Julia Roberts. With her red hair, this green would really snap! However, the aweome thing about this dress is that, not only does it come in 4 different colors (Sage [shown], Fuscia, Black, and Champagne), but it's in complete compliance with the Thrify Diva's guide at a meager $84.99 (Amazon.com)!! Thank god for thrifty ballgowns.

You wouldn't think that Miss Fashion Pricetag herself, Paris Hilton, would give off any kind of frugal fashionista methods to madness. . . But she surprised me today as I was working. I was shopping for her outfit online when I stumbled across this picture. Yes, it's an adorable top ($$$) and the gigantic rock around her neck is fabulous. . . But look closer - is that the only thing that's sparkling? No!

Paris is sporting body glitter! You know, that stuff you sported in 7th grade, then were shocked to learn that the Spice Girls made glitter "uncool" so you gave it the toss? Well get ready to spice up your life, ladies - subtle glitter shines don't only radiate feminine, but that nice skin's really going to stand out!

Does Hippie Heaven Mesh with Bohemian Beauty?

Yes? No? Who knows. . . But it'd be a clear joke to deny that the two hottest things right now are past and present. Pair a beat-to-hell pair of jeans like the Diesel Distressed pair below with a Fourtys top, much like the one to the right. . . Slap on some cork-heeled wedges and you're the next big thing.

Who really understands the reasoning behind the decade-catering generation of today? One minute mullets, neon and hi-tops are the only things you need to be caught wearing, and the next minute - you'd better be wearing khaki and love beads or you're out of the shopping crew!

The one thing that striked me most about this new craze is the gigantic price tags attached to these threads of "peace and love." What's that about? A $90 top and $120 jeans (with holes!) definitely won't make me feel anymore peaceful. How about we grab a pair of Levi's, brush 'em with some steel-wool pads in a couple places, and hop over to Target for a plain camisole?

That wasn't so hard, was it?

Welcome to the Frugal Fashionista's blog.

Here, you will get tips and tricks on how to get runway fashions and the hottest looks for less cash from your pocket books.

While it's fun to spend $500.00 on a hot pair of heels from Louie V., it's a lot MORE fun to buy 7 pairs of shoes from somewhere cheap and make them LOOK like they're Louie V.

Stay tuned.
